FOMC + Session Stats with a 92.31% WIN RATE?

There is insane correlation between performance and the new “session” score we’ll be showing.

FOMC IS UPON US!

Good morning RIGD.

It’s FOMC and JPOW day

Yesterday the lizards were fully in control of the market taking us all of the way down to 440 before pumping it straight back to the open price.

How close to the open?

Let’s see… SPY opened the day at 442.68 and closed at 442.71 for (+0.007%).

Incredible stuff!

RIGD ALERT SUMMARY 9/19/2023:

2 SPY BULL SWINGS - 343 and 348 score

  • Max Gain 72.70% and 98.45% (5 hours)

  • Max Drawdown -91.22% and -89.91% (3 hours)

We took this trade and then went to do a lot of work on the QQQ session stats which you’ll read about below.

It’s a good thing we were working and not trading because the drawdown was massive, but we ended up taking the 442c from 0.60 - 1.01 for a 68.33% return.

Only ten contracts (hence why we were not looking), but a winning trade is a winning trade!

1 QQQ BULL SWING - 372 score

  • Max Gain 236.41% (5 hours)

  • Max Drawdown 55.15% (3 hours)

The QQQ got going today lead by none other than Apple and Tesla.

The drawdown was much lower than SPY and gains significantly higher!

SWING trades FTW again.

Fun fact: We’ve sent 10 SWING alerts for QQQ and SPY this month, which if you purchased all of them and did nothing except sell at the end of the day would net a return of 23.67%.

Only following the QQQ SWINGS would be 110.33%.

Does it get better than that?

A LOOK BACK AT RIGD AND SPY AT THE LAST FOMC

The last FOMC meeting we got was July 27 and luckily thanks to our genius development team we have incredible data to share!

First what you’ll notice here is we get a downtrend day which is one of the best ways to actually make money trading.

Lots of red lines = lots of strike prices being hit = money printer go brrrr

Here’s how it played out last time.

Note: past performance is no guarantee of future results, but if we see a similar setup today… we’re going to send it!

OPEN SESSION (9:30 - 10:30):

5 BEAR BOMBS - 2555 SCORE

1 BULL BOMB - 513 SCORE

The trading day starts and immediately we get five bear bombs and more red florbs. The price action follows and begins moving down. The one bull bomb does nothing.

The setup does not get more bearish than this.

MIDDLE SESSION (10:30 - 13:30):

After the first hour we kind of sit in this tight range of the ping pong bing bong between 457 and 458. This is a lizard move 101. They kill the people late to the move down. Retail thinks this is going to start going up.

Starting at 13:00 we begin the nuke.

The way we look at this now (hindsight and perfect information), is we would have taken a lot of the position off especially given that the first bear bombs are 200%+ returns.

However we’re also thinking that if we were going to see a move higher, then the BULL BOMBS would be coming in during the chop.

They don’t.

It’s very rare that the open session is fully bearish and we see an opposite move (up in this case) without bull bombs.

Because we don’t fire any new alerts during the middle session, we expect the lizards fully setup at the open and are ready to nuke this thing.

That’s exactly what happened.

ENDING SESSION (13:30 - 16:00):

Hot momma!

We see five strike prices touched in the last 2.5 hours of trading.

Three bear bombs are fired off during the ENDING session with max gains ranging from 152.83% - 358.33%.

Here’s where we’re killing ourselves for not holding onto the BEAR positions longer.

When we look at the SESSION module, the setup is clear!

Volume - the number of option trades detected by the algo is up 150.42% versus the 7-day average.

This is a sign it’s a good day to trade!

Bulls vs Bears - the important thing to look at here is comparing the total number of alerts and the score.

We see 8 BEARS with a 3,499 score for the session! Overwhelmingly bearish and we get the trend day down and lots of money (but also cry because we didn’t hold a full position).

SESSION STATS = FUTURE FACE MELTER

A soon to ship update will have SESSION STATS with multi-view of OPEN, MIDDLE and ENDING.

There is insane correlation between performance and the new “session” score we’ll be showing.

We know we’ve been talking about SPY but now we’re going to jump back to the QQQ.

From July - September we isolated OPEN and MIDDLE sessions where the new session score was above (or very close for 8/17) to 2000.

Session score is an indicator of option flow during 930 - 1030 (open) and 1030 - 1330 (middle).

12 out of 13 sessions where the score was above 2000, the side with the higher score won!

That’s a 92.31% win rate!

Obviously we need a lot more data and will keep refining the models, but we’re constantly looking at trends like this and shipping them as fast as possible so you can win more trades.

Pray to the lizards we get a similar opportunity today!

Stay frosty!

Note: session stats do not include the ENDING (1330 - 1600) or Fridays because both of these are terrible, unreliable pieces of crap to trade.
